Gitano families dug into the soft rock above the Darro and hung the walls with copper pans, and the zambra they dance in there is a wedding form, not a concert one. The rooms are narrow, the ceilings are low and the heat builds fast. Seats run along both walls, so everybody is in the front row and nobody can pretend not to be watching.

Four things nobody tells you about a flamenco night.
